Rotary Feeder
Rotary feeder, also known as rotary feeder and star-type unloader, is a device used for the transportation of solid materials. The following is its detailed introduction:
Structural composition
Housing: Usually made of cast iron or stainless steel, it has good wear resistance and corrosion resistance, can withstand certain pressure and material impacts, and provides protection and support for internal components.
Rotor: It is the core component of the rotary feeder. It is generally composed of multiple blades. The shape and number of blades will be designed according to different application scenarios and material characteristics. The rotor is connected to the drive device through a shaft and rotates at a constant speed in the housing.
Sealing device: used to prevent material leakage and external air from entering. Common sealing methods include packing seals, mechanical seals, etc. Good sealing performance is crucial to maintaining the stability and efficiency of the conveying system.
Drive device: Generally consists of a motor, a reducer, etc., which provides power for the rotation of the rotor. By adjusting the rotation speed of the motor, the rotation speed of the rotor can be accurately controlled, thereby achieving accurate adjustment of the material conveying amount.
How it works
When the rotary feeder is working, the rotor rotates at a constant speed in the housing under the driving device. The material enters the feeder from the feed port and is separated into independent units by the blades of the rotor. As the rotor rotates, these material units are sequentially transported to the discharge port, and then discharged from the feeder to enter the subsequent conveying pipeline or equipment. During the entire process, the rotation speed of the rotor determines the amount of material conveying, and the sealing device ensures that the material will not leak during the transportation process, while preventing external air from entering the conveying system, ensuring the normal operation of the pneumatic conveying system.
